Tips for a Successful Career in the Resources and Process Industries

After graduating as a chemical and metallurgical engineer from Colorado School of Mines, Doug Pitts still continues a 55-year career in the minerals, hydrocarbons and alternative energy sectors. He has worked as an operator, project manager, and technology entrepreneur. He will discuss the career moves he made – good and not so good – and the changes in career options in this new economy. Finally, he will recommend some paths new entrants and those with established careers should consider, and target technology areas of interest.
